ISSUESToo much redundancy when tracking ATMs
GOAL
To have a central location to communicate and share information with all internal and external project teams across existing locations tracking ATM machines, Exterior Branding, Interior Branding, and other project types (Build outs, Equipment Replacements, Significant Repairs).
CHALLENGES
Huntington National Bank has over 1,400 ATMs within its financial network. Prior to deploying the Expesite system, the bank's team, responsible for tracking the entire movement and installation of each ATM, used an inefficient system to manage the process. Twelve (12) departments, made up of Huntington employees and external vendors, all played a part in the rollouts adding an unbelievable degree of complexity to the program. The problems increased as each department used its own spreadsheet to track information on the same installations – causing redundancy and data inaccuracy due to a lack of centralized communication and information sharing across projects.
Huntington recognized the need to find a solution to help centralize its information, in order to make it available and accessible to everyone involved in the success of the project.
SOLUTIONS
Expesite teamed with Huntington to provide a web-based solution for managing the process by enabling project leaders to easily track information by both serial number and manufacturer as it moves across the network. Additionally, the system tracks the disposition of retired ATMs as well. Huntington's trust in Expesite's secure systems environment gave the bank the confidence it needed to begin to track the amount of cash in each ATM.
Due to the success of the ATM project - Huntington decided to use Expesite in another key project - the deployment of its new Teller Cash Dispensers across its 600 branches.
MEASUREABLE RESULTS
Using Expesite, Huntington Bank has been able to achieve project success by managing its ATMs at both freestanding and branch office locations. Huntington now provides one central location to give its teams and vendor partners the ability to view all project-critical information and tasks.
